THE QUALIFICATION

The course leads to award of the Diploma in Foot Health Practice, a level 4 qualification that enables you to work safely and competently and succeed in self-employed private practice.

LEVEL 4 COURSES

Our courses are accredited by ncfe – one of the leading accreditation bodies. We are inspected 6 monthly by NCFE. The IIQ licence is awarded to the College in recognition of the quality of the course, its internal verification and its delivery. Level 4 is appropriate to autonomous persons working without supervision where the job requires complex tasks, discretion and decision-making. Level 4 is higher than A level, and on the same scale, level 5 is a degree.

The College of Foot Heath Practitioners holds NCFE IIQ licence parts A & B. NCFE have mapped the Quality Statements to a range of standards; ISO 9001, Investors in People, EFQM, the Common Inspection Framework, Matrix and Recognising and Recording Progression and Achievement (RARPA). The licence allows us to accredit an unlimited number of our programmes

CPD

We strongly advocate Continuing Profession Development and see update and ongoing learning as essential to safe and effective practice.

The College offers Basic Life Support sessions and puts on a programme of CPD workshops and masterclasses.

Additional CPD is offered by the Alliance of Private Sector Practitioners.

Biomechanics Diploma Course
10 Modules and 2 Practical Days
Foot and Leg injuries and their treatment with the reason why they happen. A comprehensive course dealing with trauma and the management of the underlying mechanical causation. A course for anyone concerned with physical pursuits or involved in active situations in which soft- tissue injury might occur. A two-day practical workshop forms part of the course. Leads to Diploma qualification

Learn the application of cryogens and how they fit in to the practical management of verrucae.
Leads to Diploma in Cryotherapy qualification

Remedial Massage of the Lower Limb
Not simply a massage course. The ten theory modules explore the anatomy, physiology, joint pathology,
examination and rehabilitation of the lower limb.
10 Modules 20 CPD points £750

Advanced Foot Health Practice

Looks at the 'drivers' of practice, where underlying conditions lead to a cascade of problems that patients present. The study includes hyperpronation, first ray pathologies, chondroarthropathy, arthritides, peripheral vascular disease and the effects of ageing. 6 Modules 20 CPD points £550

IN CELEBRATION OF 15 YEARS OF TRAINING!

The 'Higher' Diploma in Foot Health Practice.... Any three of the above courses completed in addition to your original Diploma in Foot Health Practice lead to award of the Higher Diploma in Foot Health Practice and will gain a Fellowship of the Alliance of Private Sector Practitioners in recognition of academic achievement gained from a minimum of 1,080 hours of study, based on a notional 30 hours per module.

Those wishing to pursue a BSc (Hons) Podiatry degree.... can do so by direct approach to a university. Universities will always look at the individual and any relevant prior learning they may have. Many of this College's graduates, having gained their FHP Diploma with this College, have gained access to the Podiatry degree and completed successfully having followed this route.

Undertaking the Higher Diploma adds strength and value to your original FHP qualification and broadens your professional horizons.
