Since qualifying last November 05, I haven’t looked back. I was very fortunate to be offered the opportunity of buying a domiciliary client base from an old acquaintance that was emigrating and didn’t want to leave her clients in the lurch.
From having made the decision to go for it, I really had to study hard and became determined to succeed with so much at stake and a deadline to meet. Now I wonder why I didn’t think of doing this for a career years ago.
I love to make people feel better and have had a background in beauty and care work, but beauty is considered a luxury for the majority and there’s so much competition, care work whilst rewarding is poor pay and unsociable hours. I can actually get bank holidays off for once!
Becoming a ‘Foot Health Practitioner’ fulfils everything I could want out of career, whilst providing a much needed service for the public. I couldn’t have achieved this without the support, dedication and hard work of all the tutors, lecturers and admin support staff at the college. For enabling me to make such a change to my life, I shall be eternally grateful to you all.
