Since Qualifying in Feb 2007 my life has changed considerably and it is all down to C.F.H.P. After receiving my diploma I returned to Eastbourne to rapturous applause and congratulations. I then got down to advertising my new found skill as a foot health practitioner.
After covering what seemed like hundreds of miles on foot delivering many cards and speaking to many many people promoting ' Eastbourne Foot Health ' I had secured my first five patients in week one. Come week two a further seven clients had put on my book. However, might I just say to all new FHP,s be prepared to lose some because the general public do like to ' taste test '.
Then one evening in July 2007 I got a call from a very nice lady who ownes a hair and beauty salon together with her daughter, they too required foot treatment, being hairdressers their feet were a sea of callus due to standing all day long in 'flip-flops'. Having reduced this thickened demon they were impressed with my skills so much so they enquired if I would be interested in joining them in a business venture within their salon, I have to admit it didn't take me long to say yes, so now the salon has a multi service under one roof, hairdressers, beauty therapist, and foot health practitioner.
Within two months I had purchased a second hand full clinic set-up from www.chiromart.co.uk ( a really helpful podiatrist from Bexhill E.Sussex, speak to Richard Talbot).
I have been running my clinic two days a week for six weeks and have acquired THIRTY EIGHT new clients, resigned from my job at the hospital and I am looking forward to a brand new future. Remember any thing is possible if you work at it and believe in yourself.
