Continued Development Foot Health Courses Near Wiltshire

Here at the College of Foot Health Practitioners, our continued development foot health courses near Wiltshire aim to further develop the foot health knowledge of foot health specialists and medical professionals.

Foot health practitioners attend to all the common conditions that can affect your feet or legs. This can range from routine care to the treatment of verrucae, corns, and calluses, to any functional issues of the foot in gait. We understand that feet are complicated machines that take a lot of strain on a daily basis. Our skilled educators, therefore, work hard to train skilled professionals who can undertake any foot health concerns presented to them.

There are numerous foot pathologies to explore, and with the College of Foot Health Practitioners, you will be able to observe and work with most of them whilst you are here. The work in the foot health profession can be extremely varied and interesting. Consequently, we aim to train foot specialists near Wiltshire to expand their horizons in foot health to be able to treat this wide variety of different conditions and presentations.

Who Can apply?

Our CPD courses are open to students from across the UK and the Channel Islands. We are also open to overseas students from within the EU. It is important to note, however, that it is the responsibility of the prospective student to ensure that our certifications will be recognised in their home country. This may impact your ability to be permitted to practice in your own country upon the completion of our course. Similarly, due to recent legislation, we are unable to offer training to students from outside of the European Union, unless they can provide UK residency documentation.

We strongly recommend that our prospective students figure out the situation in their own country before enrolling with us.

What Continued Development in Foot Health Courses Can Do for You

As a foot health practitioner, you can employ one of two basic styles of practice. The first is working within a surgery, in which you can make yourself indispensable with your extended knowledge of foot health. The alternative is to work self-employed and visit people in their own homes, known as domiciliary, or local surgeries.

Anyone setting up their own foot health business should consider their set-up costs. These will vary depending on whether you have your own surgery, go domiciliary, or both. You will also need equipment, such as a home visiting case, an ultrasonic cleaner, an autoclave, instruments, medicaments, insurance, and if you decide upon opening a surgery, a treatment chair, and a trolley. The College of FHP can advise you further of these costs. Self-employment is not for the faint-hearted or apathetic, but the results can be immensely rewarding.

THE COLLEGE & IT'S AIMS

The College is in its 19th year of successfully training practitioners to support and serve the population of the UK. It is recognised that the need of the public in foot health provision cannot be adequately met by the NHS. In addition, we believe that the public should have a genuine choice of where and when they can obtain treatment and in the nature of the treatment they can access. Foot care is absolutely essential to the maintenance of good health, and is effective in averting serious illness requiring costly intervention.
