Deeper Into Callus is a live webinar presented by Robert Isaacs, created for Foot Health Practitioners who want to strengthen clinical reasoning and improve long-term patient outcomes.

Hyperkeratosis, or callus, is often approached as a routine presentation. Identify it, reduce it, and move on. In practice, however, callus is rarely that simple. It is not an isolated problem, but a visible sign of underlying mechanical, biological, and sometimes behavioural influences.

In this practical session, we will look beyond surface treatment and explore why callus develops, why it persists, and what it may be protecting. The webinar will examine the role of load, pressure, friction, tissue response, microbial factors, and patient-specific influences, and show how these directly shape clinical decision-making.

Rather than focusing only on tissue reduction, this webinar is designed to help practitioners understand cause, manage recurrence, and deliver better long-term outcomes. The learning is highly practical and intended to support what you do every day in clinic, helping you move beyond routine debridement towards more informed and effective patient management.

What you will gain from this webinar:

  • A deeper understanding of how and why callus develops
  • Greater confidence in assessing underlying causes
  • Improved clinical reasoning in everyday practice
  • Practical insight into recurrence prevention and long-term management
  • A more strategic approach to patient care beyond routine debridement
